PP woven fabric roll is made by weaving stretched polypropylene tapes into continuous fabric and winding the material for further processing. Unlike a finished bag, the roll is one part of the final packaging system. Cutting, printing, lamination, liners, seams, closures and the converting equipment all affect finished performance. A new construction should therefore be approved through a sample or converting trial under the buyer's actual conditions.
Bag Making
Fabric rolls can be converted into cement, fertilizer, feed, rice, sand, construction and other PP woven bags. The required flat or tubular form, width, fabric weight and weave should be set from the finished bag dimensions, intended load, cutting method and sewing or sealing process. Net weight alone is not enough to select the fabric; the product density, handling route and final bag construction also need to be reviewed.
Lamination and Printing
Unprinted woven rolls are available for converters that complete their own surface processing. Plain fabric, fabric laminated on one or both sides and printing-ready treatment can be specified according to the next operation. Confirm which side will be processed, the coating or lamination system, print method, line temperature and required adhesion before production. A line trial is recommended when the converter is using a new material or process setting.
Slitting and Industrial Protection
PP woven fabric rolls are also used for tarpaulins, packaging liners, agricultural covers and industrial protective materials. For these applications, define the finished width, slitting method, surface treatment, expected exposure and joining process. UV masterbatch can be considered when a defined period of sunlight exposure is expected, but the required formulation should be reviewed against the climate and service duration.
Fabric Weight, Mesh and Width
The 40–120 gsm, 30–220 cm and 7 × 7 to 14 × 14 ranges provide starting points, not a universal specification. Fabric weight, weave density and width work together with tape properties, surface treatment and final conversion. A heavier or tighter fabric is not automatically the best choice: strength, flexibility, air passage, process speed and cost must be balanced for the actual product and equipment.
Material Formula, Color and Surface
Virgin PP, recycled PP, UV masterbatch and customer-specified formulations are available subject to the end-use requirement. Material selection should consider appearance, mechanical performance, destination-market requirements and the finished product's contact conditions. White, transparent and colored fabric can be produced, with custom colors confirmed against an approved sample. Surface treatment is then selected according to printing, lamination, moisture exposure and conversion needs.
Roll Build and Equipment Compatibility
Rolls can be supplied by specified meterage, roll weight or outside diameter. Paper-core inside diameter, maximum roll diameter, roll weight and winding direction should match the buyer's shaft, chuck, unwinder and material-handling limits. Confirming these details before sampling helps prevent loading problems, unstable unwinding and avoidable stops on the converting line.
XH Packaging has produced woven packaging since 2007. The factory operates more than 100 circular looms and maintains a monthly output of about 1,000 metric tons of PP woven fabric rolls. Order-specific checks may cover width, fabric weight, mesh, color, tensile performance, surface treatment, roll length or weight, outside diameter, core size and packing. A confirmed specification and approved sample provide the reference for bulk production and repeat orders.
