Custom Rice Bags

XH Packaging supplies regular non-vacuum rice bags in plain PP woven and BOPP laminated woven structures for mills, distributors and retail brands. Plain woven sacks provide economical carrying strength for routine packing, while gravure-printed BOPP film creates a smoother surface for detailed brand presentation. Common formats include 5 kg, 10 kg, 20 kg, 25 kg and 50 kg. Handles, PE liners, top finishes, stitching and controlled filling air-release perforations can be reviewed against the rice, packing line and distribution route.
  • Plain PP woven rice bags offer a practical format for bulk handling, wholesale distribution and cost-conscious markets.
  • BOPP laminated rice bags combine a load-bearing woven body with detailed printed graphics for retail presentation.
  • Reference dimensions are available for 5 kg through 50 kg non-vacuum packs and are finalized through trial filling.
  • Handle openings or attached handles can be reviewed for consumer packs after reinforcement and carrying load are defined.
  • An optional PE liner provides a separate inner layer where the storage route calls for additional moisture protection.
  • Controlled perforations may release air displaced during filling, but the purpose and pattern must be confirmed on the packing line.

Plain Woven and BOPP Bags Serve Different Channels

Plain woven rice bags are suited to routine mill output, wholesale movement and markets where strength and clear basic identification take priority. Flexographic printing can add a logo, rice variety, grade, net weight and handling information. The structure remains relatively light when empty and can be adjusted for warehouse handling by changing fabric weight, weave and seam design.
BOPP laminated rice bags meet a more presentation-focused requirement. Artwork is gravure-printed on film and laminated to the woven substrate, allowing product photography, fine color transitions and detailed brand panels. This structure is commonly selected for supermarket, branded export and premium-looking non-vacuum packs. The more closed surface can reduce normal exposure, although the finished rice still requires dry warehousing and protected transport.

6
Coordinate Air Release, Liner and Closing

BOPP film forms a relatively closed surface, so air displaced by rice during filling may remain inside the pack. Small controlled perforations can be added to release that process air and help the bag settle. Their number and position should be tested with fill speed, drop height and the required filled shape. Perforations should not be presented as a guaranteed moisture-control or freshness feature.
An inserted PE liner changes the air path. If both a liner and air-release perforations are required, the liner opening or venting arrangement must be reviewed with the filler and sewing process; holes in the outer laminated layer alone may not vent air trapped inside an unvented liner.

6
Artwork, Food-Related Requirements and Quality Checks

BOPP artwork can include rice variety, origin, preparation guidance, net weight and brand elements. Barcode placement should avoid folds, seams and high curvature. A printed sample should be scanned under the buyer's normal retail conditions. Plain woven bags can use simpler flexographic artwork where cost and industrial clarity take priority.
For food-related rice packaging, 100% virgin PP is available and commonly recommended. Product-contact, migration, ink and labeling requirements depend on the destination and should be confirmed for the order. Relevant checks may include fabric weight, tensile performance, print color and registration, lamination bond, stitching, liner fit, handle reinforcement and packed quantity.

Turn the Rice Pack into a Production-Ready Specification

Send XH Packaging the target weight, artwork and a photograph of the filled shape you want. We can prepare a plain woven or BOPP laminated sample, test it with your filler and refine the dimensions, handle, air release, print layout and sewing before the production run.

Rice Bags and BOPP Laminated Rice Bags FAQ

1. Are these rice bags suitable for vacuum packing?

No. This range covers regular non-vacuum PP woven and BOPP laminated woven bags. Vacuum packs require a different barrier structure, sealing system and validation process.

2. What is the difference between plain woven and BOPP laminated rice bags?

Plain woven bags provide economical carrying strength and straightforward flexographic printing. BOPP laminated bags add gravure-printed film for photography, detailed colors and retail presentation. Choose according to the sales channel, artwork and required surface.

3. Why do some BOPP rice bags have small perforations?

Controlled perforations can release air displaced during filling and help the pack settle. Their pattern depends on filling speed, drop height and the required bag shape. Test the perforation pattern on the packing line rather than treating it as a moisture-control or freshness feature.

4. Can a rice bag use both a PE liner and air-release perforations?

Yes, but the liner and outer bag must provide a workable air path. Outer-layer holes may not vent air trapped inside an unvented liner. Test the liner opening or venting arrangement with the filler and closing method.

5. How are reference rice-bag sizes confirmed for the final product?

The size table provides starting points for regular non-vacuum packs. Rice variety, density, headspace, liner, handle and equipment can change capacity. Confirm the dimensions through a trial fill or a proven current sample.
